Easier for agents to find us
Every response from snapshotflow.com now includes a Link header that points agents to everything they need: the API catalog, the MCP server card, agent skills, the sign-in instructions, and the OAuth metadata. One request to the home page is enough for an agent to learn what SnapshotFlow does and how to connect.
The same files live under standard /.well-known/ paths, including ai-catalog.json, the MCP server card, and the agent skills index, so agents that look there first will find them too.
Sign up and sign in through your agent
Agents can now connect to the SnapshotFlow MCP server on your behalf without a manually created API key:
- The agent sends your email address to SnapshotFlow and gets back a short code, like
WDJB-MJHT, with a link. - You open the link, check that the code matches, and sign in with Google using the same email.
- The agent receives an access token and can start working. No account yet? A free account is created when you approve.
You stay in control. SnapshotFlow never emails the code, the request is denied if the Google account doesn't match the email the agent provided, and the code expires after 15 minutes. Agent tokens can be revoked through the standard OAuth revocation endpoint. Clients that support the standard OAuth flow, such as Claude, Cursor, and ChatGPT, keep working as before.
WebMCP tools on snapshotflow.com
Every page on the site now registers WebMCP tools, so a browser agent can use SnapshotFlow directly instead of clicking through the page:
open_pageopens docs, pricing, the playground, the MCP guide, or the sign-up page.build_screenshot_requestturns a URL and options into a ready-to-use request with cURL, JavaScript, and Python snippets. It needs no API key and doesn't use your quota.run_screenshotfills in the Playground and captures the screenshot with the API key you entered there. It runs only when you ask for a capture.
New Node.js and Java SDK releases
- Node.js SDK 1.0.0 is the first stable release on npm. The API is the same as before, so upgrading is a version bump:
npm install snapshotflow@latest. npm · GitHub · Node.js guide - Java SDK 1.0.1 is a bug-fix release with no public API changes. The
User-Agentheader now reports the real SDK version, the client builder rejects invalid timeout and retry settings right away, andjobs().await(...)no longer waits past its timeout. Maven Central · Release notes · Java guide
