Connect Antigravity to SnapshotFlow MCP

Google Antigravity, both the IDE and the Antigravity CLI, reads MCP servers from one config file. Add SnapshotFlow there, authenticate once in Agent settings, and the agent can capture, compare, and read live pages while it works.

Start free — 300 screenshots

Before you start

  • A SnapshotFlow account. Sign up free if you do not have one.
  • The server URL: https://api.snapshotflow.com/mcp
  • No API key. The server uses OAuth, so Antigravity signs you in through the browser.

Add the server

Antigravity keeps MCP servers in mcp_config.json:

  • ~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json for all projects. The IDE and the CLI share this file.
  • .agents/mcp_config.json in a workspace, for that project only.
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "snapshotflow": {
      "serverUrl": "https://api.snapshotflow.com/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Antigravity expects serverUrl for remote servers. Do not add an oauth block or headers: SnapshotFlow publishes its OAuth settings, and Antigravity picks them up automatically.

Sign in

  1. Open Agent settings with Cmd + , on macOS or Ctrl + , on Windows and Linux.
  2. Go to the Customizations tab and select Authenticate next to snapshotflow.
  3. Sign in to SnapshotFlow in the browser. Antigravity's callback page shows an authorization code.
  4. Copy the code, paste it into the settings panel, and submit. The server reconnects on its own.

Antigravity stores the token in ~/.gemini/antigravity/mcp_oauth_tokens.json, so you only sign in once.

Prompts to try in Antigravity

SnapshotFlow renders pages on its own servers, so give the agent a deployed or preview URL rather than localhost.

Use the SnapshotFlow MCP server to capture https://example.com/pricing. Extract the visible pricing plans, then report any broken layout, missing images, or unreadable text.
Use SnapshotFlow visual_diff to compare https://staging.example.com with https://example.com and list the changes that need review before release.
Read https://docs.example.com/api with SnapshotFlow extract_text and update the API client in this workspace to match it.

Troubleshooting

  • The server does not appear. Check that the entry uses serverUrl and that the JSON is valid, then reload the window or restart the CLI.
  • 401 after signing in. Select Authenticate again and paste a fresh code; codes are single-use and expire quickly.
  • Workspace and global configs disagree. Keep one snapshotflow entry, either in the workspace file or in the global one.

What it costs

Your AI client spends its own model tokens, billed by your AI provider. SnapshotFlow only counts screenshots against your account:

ToolCounts as
screenshot1 screenshot (repeat requests served from cache are free)
batch_screenshot1 screenshot per captured URL (cache hits are free)
visual_diff2 screenshots
extract_text1 screenshot
check_jobFree

New accounts get 300 free screenshots for the lifetime of the account. No credit card required. See pricing for paid plans.

Steps checked against the official documentation on . Client menus change often; if a label differs, the linked page has the current name.

Antigravity signs in with its published client metadata (https://antigravity.google/oauth/client-metadata.json); SnapshotFlow accepts it and its https://antigravity.google/oauth-callback redirect.

Other MCP clients

The same server works with any client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Setup guides:
