MCP prompts for screenshots and page checks

Ready-to-copy prompts for an agent connected to the SnapshotFlow MCP server, grouped by the job you want done. Replace the example URLs with yours and paste the prompt into Claude, Cursor, Codex or any other MCP client.

Not connected yet? Pick your client on the MCP server page; setup takes a couple of minutes.

What "counts as" means. SnapshotFlow counts screenshots against your account (300 free). Your AI client's model tokens are billed by your AI provider.

Use public URLs. Pages are rendered on SnapshotFlow servers, so localhost and private networks are not reachable. Use a preview deployment, or pass HTML with the html parameter.

Check a deploy

Look at the live result after a release, the way a visitor sees it.

Full-page check after a release

Take a full-page screenshot of https://example.com with SnapshotFlow. List anything that looks broken: overlapping text, missing images, empty sections or buttons that are cut off.

Desktop and mobile in one go

Use SnapshotFlow to capture https://example.com twice: full page at 1440 pixels wide and full page at 390 pixels wide. Compare the two and list layout problems that only appear on mobile.

Tool: screenshot ×2 · Counts as: 2 screenshots

Wait for the content that matters

Capture https://example.com/dashboard-demo with SnapshotFlow, waiting for the selector .chart to appear and blocking cookie banners. Tell me whether the chart rendered with data.

Check a page that is not deployed yet

Render the HTML in src/emails/welcome.html with SnapshotFlow's screenshot tool using the html parameter at 600 pixels wide. Check that the layout holds and the button is visible.

Compare staging and production

Catch visual regressions before they reach users.

One page, before and after

Use SnapshotFlow visual_diff to compare https://staging.example.com/pricing with https://example.com/pricing. Show the diff image, the share of changed pixels and a short list of what changed.

A release checklist across key pages

Run SnapshotFlow visual_diff for these pairs and give me a table with page, changed pixels and a one-line verdict:
- https://staging.example.com vs https://example.com
- https://staging.example.com/pricing vs https://example.com/pricing
- https://staging.example.com/signup vs https://example.com/signup

Tool: visual_diff ×3 · Counts as: 6 screenshots

Ignore tiny rendering noise

Compare https://staging.example.com with https://example.com using SnapshotFlow visual_diff with a threshold of 0.2, so anti-aliasing differences are ignored. Report only meaningful changes.

Audit landing pages

Review several pages at once, for consistency and conversion.

Consistency across a site

Use SnapshotFlow batch_screenshot on https://example.com, https://example.com/pricing, https://example.com/docs and https://example.com/blog. Check that the header, footer, fonts and button styles match on all four.

Landing page critique

Take a full-page screenshot of https://example.com with SnapshotFlow, blocking ads and cookie banners. Critique the first screen: is the offer clear, is there one obvious call to action, and what would you change first?

Copy review without images

Read https://example.com with SnapshotFlow extract_text as Markdown. Review the headline, subheadline and call-to-action copy, and suggest three sharper alternatives for each.

Track competitor pricing

Keep an eye on what others charge and how they present it.

Pricing table as data

Use SnapshotFlow extract_text on https://competitor-one.example/pricing and https://competitor-two.example/pricing. Build one table with plan names, monthly prices, limits and what each plan includes.

Keep visual evidence

Capture the pricing tables on https://competitor-one.example/pricing and https://competitor-two.example/pricing with SnapshotFlow, full page, blocking cookie banners. Give me the download links so I can keep them as dated evidence.
