SnapshotFlow

Terms of Use

Effective date:

These Terms of Use apply to SnapshotFlow’s website, dashboard, hosted screenshot API, connected tools and browser extension (together, the “Service”). References to “we” and “us” mean the provider of SnapshotFlow; “you” means the person or organization using the Service. Contact us at support@snapshotflow.com.

Please read these Terms before using the Service. By creating an account, installing the extension or using the API, you agree to these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Nothing here replaces any separate acceptance or notice required by law.

1. Eligibility, accounts and credentials

You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms under the law that applies to you. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it. The Service is not directed to children under 13.

Provide accurate account information and keep access to your account email secure. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account, API keys, connected clients and integrations. Keep passwords, API keys and authentication tokens private; do not put them in public repositories, client-side code or public links.

If you suspect unauthorized access, revoke affected keys and contact support promptly. You are not responsible under these Terms for activity caused by our failure to meet our own legal or security obligations.

2. Features, free access and quotas

The Service provides website capture and related functions such as image and PDF rendering, visual comparisons, text extraction, editing, storage and sharing, depending on the tool and available configuration. Consult the documentation for supported inputs, options and limits.

The current free account offer includes 300 screenshots as a one-time allowance, not a monthly renewal. Your dashboard shows your account’s available quota. Requests are also subject to operation-specific usage rules, rate limits, file size limits and infrastructure capacity. Local extension captures and cloud uploads are separate from server-side URL rendering.

Do not create multiple accounts or manipulate requests to evade quotas or abuse free access. A quota is permission to use the available Service within its limits; it is not stored money or a promise of permanent access. Contact support if a usage counter appears incorrect.

3. Acceptable use

Use the Service only for lawful purposes and with the rights and permissions needed for the pages and content you process. In particular, do not:

Access to a public URL does not itself grant permission to reproduce, republish or commercially use its contents. You must assess the destination website’s applicable terms and relevant law. Using our API or an automated agent does not remove those obligations.

4. Your content and intellectual property

“Your content” includes the URLs, HTML, images, instructions, credentials and other materials you submit, together with your edits and annotations. You retain whatever rights you hold in that content. Capturing a third-party page does not transfer its owner’s rights to you or to us.

You grant us a limited, nonexclusive permission to receive, process, render, store and transmit your content only as needed to provide the functions you request, maintain and secure the Service, and comply with law. This includes displaying an image to people with a sharing link when you choose to create one. It does not grant us ownership of your content or permission to use it in advertising.

That permission ends when the content is removed from the Service, except to the extent necessary for backup retention, security records or legal obligations described in the Privacy Policy. We cannot recall copies already downloaded by you or another person.

We and our licensors retain rights in the Service’s software, branding and documentation. Subject to these Terms, you may use the available Service and integrate its API into your applications. Separately distributed SDKs or other open-source components remain governed by their own licenses.

5. Storage, public sharing and privacy

Cloud storage is temporary and subject to the applicable retention settings and the expiry recorded for each capture. Download and keep your own copies of anything you need. The Service is not a permanent archive or your sole backup.

Anyone with a public sharing link can view its content without signing in until it expires or is revoked. Review the final image before sharing, particularly for personal information, credentials and confidential material. A recipient may download or redistribute it.

Deleting a cloud screenshot invalidates its sharing links. Revoking a link cannot erase copies already obtained by others. Deleting a local extension capture or disconnecting an account does not revoke an existing cloud link.

Our Privacy Policy describes personal data handling, local and cloud retention, analytics, providers, security and deletion requests. These Terms do not expand the uses of personal data described there.

6. Browser extension and redaction

Local capture, editing and export can be used without an account. Connecting an account does not automatically upload screenshots. Saving online, sharing and server-side URL rendering require separate actions; rendering uses your API quota.

Redaction covers selected areas in flattened exports and uploads. Original pixels and editable objects can remain in locally stored recent captures until deletion or expiry. Inspect the exported file rather than assuming an editable draft has permanently erased sensitive information.

Local captures are subject to browser storage limits, cleanup and deletion when you clear browser data or remove the extension. Export files you want to keep. Browser restrictions, protected pages, dynamic content and page changes can affect capture completeness.

7. Third-party websites and connected tools

Rendered websites and third-party clients are outside our control. Their content, availability and terms can change. A destination may block automated access or return different content based on location, authentication or time.

When you configure webhooks, connect an agent or send results to another service, you authorize delivery to the destination you specify. Check the destination and the permissions you grant. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Availability and output limitations

We aim to provide a useful, reliable Service, but interruptions, maintenance, failures and changes to supported browsers or websites can occur. Unless separately agreed in writing, we do not provide a contractual uptime guarantee, response-time guarantee or service-level agreement.

A screenshot or extracted result reflects what the rendering environment received at capture time. It may be incomplete, outdated, blocked or visually different from another browser session. Review results before relying on them, especially in legal, financial, security or other consequential decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, the free Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without additional warranties of uninterrupted operation, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. This does not exclude any statutory guarantee or duty that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Responsibility and limitations of liability

You are responsible for your authorized use of the Service, the rights needed for your content, the integrations you configure and the decision to publish or share results. We remain responsible for our own acts and omissions as required by law.

For business users, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business opportunities or losses caused by third-party websites or services outside our reasonable control.

No provision excludes or limits liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms takes away mandatory consumer rights or remedies.

10. Suspension, removal and ending use

We may restrict requests, suspend access or remove hosted content where reasonably necessary to address a breach of these Terms, unlawful content, a security risk, abuse or a legal requirement. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow you to address the issue. Immediate action may be necessary to protect users or comply with law.

If you believe a restriction or removal was mistaken, email support with the relevant account or request details. Do not send passwords or API keys. To report unlawful content or a rights violation, include the affected URL, the reason for the report and a way to contact you.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can revoke API keys, disconnect the extension, delete available captures and request account deletion through support. Download needed content before requesting deletion. Retention and deletion are explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may change or discontinue free features for operational, security or legal reasons. Where practicable, we will give advance notice of a material discontinuation and an opportunity to export stored content. Ending use does not undo prior public sharing or remove obligations that logically continue, including provisions about rights, responsibility and disputes.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or legal requirements. The effective date above identifies this version. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through the website, dashboard or account email, and obtain renewed agreement where required by law. Changes do not retroactively alter a dispute that has already arisen.

If you do not agree to an update, you may stop using the Service and request account deletion.

12. Questions, disputes and general provisions

For questions about these Terms, account issues, content reports or disputes, email support@snapshotflow.com. Please include enough detail for us to investigate without including sensitive credentials.

We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve an issue. This does not prevent you from using any court, regulator or other remedy available under applicable law, and does not require arbitration or waive any mandatory rights.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later. Any separate written agreement with us takes precedence for the specific matters it covers.
